Little Petra, Jordan

Al Beidha Lodge is located in Beidha region of Petra, 236 km south of the capital, Amman. It is strategically situated between Little Petra and Petra, both sites being a part of the UNESCO world heritage site, the Petra Archaeological Park. The neolithic ruins of Al Beidha date back 9000 years and, along with Jericho, constitute one of the oldest archaeological sites in the Middle East.

HM Design was the Landscape Architect and prepared a Conceptual Master Plan for this 20-unit high-end Desert Lodge. The Master Plan included the main building (Reception, Dining, Lounge, Kitchen, Staff Area, Storage etc.), various types of Villa accommodations, Spa, Olive Garden, Swimming Pool, Sunset Pavilion and Trails. All the landscape walls are designed to be constructed out of rammed earth, which records as a first in the region. All plant species proposed for the planting palette are native species.
