HM Design is the site planner and landscape architect for this project where an existing coffee farm is being converted to a climate-smart Agro-Ecotourism destination which includes a farm-as-table culinary experience. HM Design is leading a team of professionals including scientists, environmentalists and local consultants. The client has acquired several neighboring properties and one of the concepts is to turn the cow pastures back to their original rainforest ecosystem. The master plan includes a farm for coffee and edible food, boutique coffee inn, an ecolodge, a wellness center, a Student Education Center containing dormitory and classrooms, and trails. The first phase of the project – Boutique Coffee Inn has been completed and open for business.
