Jambo Kilimanjaro Lodge is located in Tanzania, in the western foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro and a few kms south of the Kenyan border. It is situated on a hill which has commanding views of the mountain and Amboseli Plains.

HM Design was the site planner, landscape architect and led a local consultant team that provided Planning and Design services. The master plan includes high-end villas, main reception, dining and lounge building, conference center, wellness center, Wedding lawn and pavilion, wildlife waterhole etc. The new Conceptual Master Plan reduces the overall impact on the site yet provides the high-end, rewarding tourism experience that meets the needs of both the operator clientele and the local community beneficiaries. The Site Planning celebrates the most striking quality of the site – the views to Mountains Kilimanjaro, Meru and Longido. Only native species from the region will be considered in the Planting Design and HM Design carefully sited the new buildings so that none of the identified trees would have to be removed.
