Six Senses Galapagos

Landscape Design

St. Cristobal, Galapagos.

Six Senses Galapagos is located in the eastern part of the island of St. Cristobal, Galapagos. 20 km east from the capital Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, the site is situated on a disturbed piece of land, in close proximity to the National Park and which has 180 degree views of the Ocean.

HM Design is the landscape architect and currently working on the Landscape Design Development package. HM Design brought in Matthew Lewis Studio. as a sub-consultant to help with the Landscape Design. HM Design prepared a detailed “Landscape as a Visual Resource Analysis” for this project and the local community of Cerro Verde were involved in the planning from day one. There is a strong invasive species eradication programme for the site and the four different contextual gardens that have been designed for the project will all be planted with native species of the Galapagos Islands. The master plan includes Entry Statement and Driveway, Arrival Court and Fountain, Entry Bridge and Creek, Infinity Swimming Pool and Deck, Garden of Evolution, Organic Vegetable Garden, Spa Garden and Massage Gazebos, Solar Farm, etc.
