Crosswaters Ecolodge and Spa is located in Nankunshan Nature Reserve – Central Guangdong Province and 1 ½ hrs drive north from Guangzhou. The reserve lies within the boundaries of the Nankun Mountain Forest Park, which covers an area of 260 sq. Kms. (100 sq. miles)
HM Design President – Hitesh Mehta, was the Team Planning and Design Leader for the first ecolodge and wellness center in China – Crosswaters Ecolodge and Spa, which has won several International ‘oscars’ for its ecologically, socially and spiritually friendly site analysis, planning and design. Crosswaters was the first lodge in the world to be planned and designed using feng-shui principles. All the buildings have a ‘continuity of the vernacular’ style deeply rooted to the region, and the gardens have rich-Chinese history and planted with native and endemic species. Most building and landscape elements were constructed with environmentally friendly materials. The lodge includes Main Building (Reception, Lounge, Dining and Kitchen Building), five types of Guest Accommodations, Spa, Conference Center, Tea-Room, Welcome Center, Maintenance Center, Observation Tower, Star-gazing Tower, Pencil Tower, Lotus Garden, Reflection Garden, Organic Garden, Trails etc.
