Sustainable Development Master Plan for Wolong Panda Reserve, Sichuan Province, China (with EDSA Orient)
Mr. Mehta was the international project manager for the team that planned a sustainable development master plan for the 220,000-hectare Wolong Giant Panda Reserve which has the largest concentration of Giant Pandas in the world. The master plan includes hotels, ecolodge, wellness spa, visitor/interpretive center, trails and cabins, entry gates, park administrative offices, local crafts markets and tourism information offices. The first phase of the Master Plan – visitor/interpretive center was completed in 2007. This project is a great example of international and local collaboration.
