SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT MASTER PLAN FOR WOLONG PANDA RESERVE

Sustainable Development Master Plan for Wolong Panda Reserve, Sichuan Province, China (with EDSA Orient)

 Mr. Mehta was the international project manager for the team that planned a sustainable development master plan for the 220,000-hectare Wolong Giant Panda Reserve which has the largest concentration of Giant Pandas in the world. The master plan includes hotels, ecolodge, wellness spa, visitor/interpretive center, trails and cabins, entry gates, park administrative offices, local crafts markets and tourism information offices. The first phase of the Master Plan – visitor/interpretive center was completed in 2007. This project is a great example of international and local collaboration. A detailed Site Analysis/Immersion technique was used for this project:
